I love decoupage! It is a very relaxing and always fun technique for me and for my students :). You can not go wrong with this technique – it is easy, satisfying, applicable for almost every surface and the result is guarantied. There are several basic ways to do decoupage – hot with an iron, just with decoupage glue or transferring images. The images can be on different paper or fabric, including wrapping, origami, napkins/tissues, wallpaper, rice paper, magazines, old books paper or special decoupage paper. I am using a simple way to do it – just with glue, without ironing the image on or transferring it, and I use napkins, wrapping paper and decoupage paper images.

This specific project is done on a plastic real wax imitation candles with a decoupage paper, acrylic medium gel (glue), acrylic paint to blend napkin edges and a varnish finish (as a top coat). Please see below the video of the whole process, enjoy and have fun!
