We are drawing houses in acrylic today – step by step tutorial for 8 years old kids and up! There is a whole village we’ve got here!
I simplified this village as we are just learning to use perspective – all houses sit on a line, without perspective points, like a 2D drawing. But we are showing 2 wall façade and shadows for each house to make the drawing more realistic.
All you need is an acrylic/watercolor paper, a pencil, couple of brushes and a jar with clear water! One tip – acrylic paint dries very fast, so I would recommend opening paint jars one by one when you need it and close once you’ve finished. If you have paint tubes, squeeze just the amount you need for the drawing, as there is no paint thinner for acrylic paint. Other than that acrylic paint is very flexible, easy to blend with water, not toxic, can be used on any surface.
