  • We add more details to every drawings to make them more realistic
  • We learn spatial concepts and the beginning of perspective to show objects further and closer within a room (for example).
  • We use tracing as a practice study to help kids to sharpen their drawing techniques.
  • Still Life compositions are becoming possible as well as a part of a spatial practice.

8-11 years old kids
  • A further improvement of the technical drawing skills is happening at this age.
  • Practice tasks for memory improvement are used during the lessons – to draw something the way a kid remembered it, rather than how they see it in front of them (showing an object for 3 minutes and then hiding it, allowing kids to draw what they remembered).
  • More sophisticated tasks are used with more and more objects presented on the drawings.
  • Kids are able to concentrate and stay focused for a longer period of time.
  • Willingness to share their work with others in class and discuss the corrections are developed, which gives them additional way to compare their projects to other kids and learn from it as well.

11-14 years old kids
  • Kids are becoming more sensitive in terms of accepting criticism of their work of art, so we tend not to discourage them, but to help them to find their own way of visualizing and drawing objects and images.
  • More Art & Architecture History introduction is available to them during studio lessons to show the differences of Art styles, Artists, techniques – all this gives them flexibility to operate with a variety of materials.
  • There is no wrong way to draw – there are different visual styles and unique methods to choose from. Everything is possible and encouraged!
