Christmas lights illumination is a sign of the upcoming Holiday season with all its sparkle, pine tree smell, magic garlands all around the house, family members laughter and Christmas music! Outside Christmas lights are the key to creating a wonderful outdoor Christmas scene — welcoming the Christmas mood and fairy tale feeling inside your home. I love wrapping them around everything – entry stair rails and a backyard porch, stuff them in bushes and trees to create the festive look of a house! This year, we could all use an extra dose of Christmas cheer, and throwing set of sparkly lights is an easy way to get it. It’s impossible to go wrong with classic string lights, but we also love the idea of mixing it up. The house becomes a winter wonderland with the help of some of the best and not always very expensive indoor & outdoor Christmas lights on the market. Mix and match the lights that you already have with the couple of new ones!
While white twinkle lights will never go out of style, light projectors, multi-colored bulbs, and pendant lanterns will also brighten up your Christmas display in 2020. They are eco-friendly, could be solar-powered, as well as ones that have battery packs so you don’t need to deal with extension cords. No matter what your vision — whether you’re going for an all-white design or something more playful — these Christmas lights will help you achieve it.
I have started my home decoration ahead of Christmas time this year, as I needed a little of cheer up after all the challenges that we faced in 2020. My favorite pine tree is a Fraser Fir – I love its bluish-greyish color and the smell!
My son Matthew was practicing making a Christmas tree out of the paper cups (see the slideshow carousel – it was a lot of fun 🙂 )!
“I am a little pine tree – as you can see,
All the other pine trees are bigger than me.
Maybe when I grow up – then I’ll be
A great big merry Christmas tree.”
